01 / The right moment
Start with a reason to show it.
A good fit when…
One collection has an offer and its visitors need to see the matching code.
Choose another approach when…
You need automatic targeting of every product in a collection. A URL rule is not a product-membership rule.
02 / Make it yours
Copy you can work with.
Replace the example offer, product language and destination with your own. You can also select and copy the text below.

A starting point for your rules.
These are test settings—not a promise of the best conversion rate. Select your own campaign dates and check them in your store’s timezone.

04 / Build in Prime
Recreate the example, step by step.
Open Prime from Shopify, create a message popup and choose a suitable starting template. The library does not import a campaign into your store.
Match the discount to the collection
Verify eligible products and exclusions in Shopify. Say selected styles or the actual collection name, not everything, when the offer is limited.
Use the real URL path
In Advanced targeting choose an exact page path. Enter the collection path and use the same destination for the popup button. Replace the sample path.
Let the shopper browse
Start with a 40% scroll trigger and once per session. If the collection is too short to scroll, use a short delay and test again.
Clear unwanted thresholds
Choose All qualified visitors, returning-only off and zero activity thresholds. A page rule does not automatically clear audience settings inherited from another template.
Preview desktop and mobile, save your changes and review the published version. Enable Prime’s theme app embed on the current theme before testing the storefront. A saved draft alone is not a live popup.
05 / Before you publish
Check the journey, not just the design.
- Reach the scroll threshold on the target collection.
- Open a different collection; the offer should not show.
- Check a product URL separately; this exact-path recipe does not cover it.
- Test eligible, excluded and mixed carts with the actual code.
Use an eligible, consented test context. Keep the close control reachable, check the button destination and verify the experience on your real theme. See the mobile checklist if text or controls do not fit.
06 / Learn from the message
Lead with the edit or the saving
Compare the collection-first headline with “15% off the Weekend Edit.” Keep the offer and display rules unchanged.
Compare engagement and review whether the destination and code are useful to shoppers.
Use A/B variants to compare one change at a time. These examples do not include claimed conversion results.
Decide what success means before you test.
Start with the next step this message asks for: a click through to the collection. Compare CTA clicks against popup deliveries for the same eligible audience and period. Keep test visits separate. A handful of clicks is not enough to name a winner.
A clicked button or copied coupon is not a completed order. Check discount usage and orders separately in Shopify where available; shared codes do not identify which popup caused a sale. Comparing two messages also does not prove either beats showing no popup.
Keep the shopper in control.
Make the close button easy to reach and test repeat limits, mobile layouts and both consent choices. Do not cover the content as soon as a search visitor arrives. A delay alone does not guarantee a good experience or protect search rankings.

Useful details
Before you choose this recipe.
Does this target all products in a collection?
No. This recipe targets the collection URL. Product pages need appropriate URL rules and separate testing.
What if the collection cannot scroll?
Choose a delay trigger instead. A scroll rule needs enough scrollable page content.
Will this work without analytics consent?
Do not assume it will. Prime’s delivery and activity-based rules depend on the available consented context. Verify the outcome with both consent choices; never bypass a shopper’s choice to make a campaign appear.
