Immediate
Show the offer as soon as a visitor meets your campaign rules. Use it thoughtfully: it interrupts shoppers at the start of their visit.
Shopify popup triggers
Show a promotion on arrival, after a pause, as shoppers scroll, or on exit intent. Then set how often it can return so one offer does not follow shoppers through every page.

Trigger types
Show the offer as soon as a visitor meets your campaign rules. Use it thoughtfully: it interrupts shoppers at the start of their visit.
Give shoppers a few moments to browse before showing the offer. You choose the delay.
Show the offer after a shopper scrolls to the point you choose on the page.
Respond to the pointer leaving on supported desktop devices. Review the touch-device fallback separately when testing mobile.
Only eligible paths and storefront contexts proceed to trigger evaluation.
Campaign schedule, device, country, product-view threshold, and campaign status can exclude a visitor before the trigger starts.
Frequency is separate
Useful for deliberate testing or exceptional announcements, but accompanied by a warning because it can become repetitive.
Allows another display in a later browser session without repeating on every eligible page in the current session.
Suppresses repeat display when the allowed visitor preference state remains available.
Makes the next eligible time explicit rather than leaving merchants to guess when a closed popup can return.
Campaign outcomes and consent-aware state can prevent an already-completed offer from being shown unnecessarily.
Where consent restricts nonessential storage or analytics, diagnostics should explain the changed behaviour instead of reporting a generic failure.
Explainable delivery
A useful diagnostic identifies the first reason a campaign stopped progressing through the decision flow.
Confirm the theme app embed, installation, shop state, and decision endpoint.
Confirm the offer is published and its schedule is active.
Evaluate path, device, country, view threshold, and other configured qualifications.
Check session, visitor, repeat-days, close, and conversion suppression state.
Wait for the configured delay, scroll threshold, exit signal, or immediate event.
Validate block content, mount the dialog, and record an eligible delivery without exposing shopper details.
Incognito mode, cleared storage, a different path, or a different device can change eligibility. A test tool should show those differences rather than encouraging repeated production refreshes.
